Welcome to the Macon Virtual Academy!  We are glad you are inquiring about this exciting opportunity for our students.  Macon County Schools is committed to offering a variety of learning choices to best serve the interest of students.

The Macon Virtual Academy will offer a virtual option to students in grades K –12. Full-time students must meet specific requirements. The courses are made available through a partnership with Edgenuity Inspire Learning and will include a full Elementary program including all four core courses as well as electives. The Secondary students (6-12 grades) will be offered all core courses, electives, and health/physical education; everything a student needs to work towards a district-approved diploma.

The Macon Virtual Academy is a stand-alone school.  Students will be eligible to be part of after-school activities including athletics and clubs at their “home-zoned” school.    

Students in the Macon Virtual Academy will be issued a device (iPad) to use at home.  Parent/guardian involvement, compatible internet service, and student motivation are required in order to succeed at the Macon Virtual Academy.

Each course will have a certified teacher. This teacher is the teacher of record and will be working with students to teach and guide them through the course.
